I live in a small village in South Lanarkshire with my wife and 2 children. I’m a bit of a geek for pharmaceuticals and really enjoy working in that industry. I coach a 2004’s football team which takes up a lot of my free time, but at home I like to watch box sets or documentaries. My favourite food is mostly Mexican, but I also love a good curry.

My job title is “Qualified Person” which means that I am personally responsible for deciding if a batch of medicines has been made, labelled, tested and stored correctly or not. If everything is good I release the batch for human consumption, if it is not good enough I need to reject it. The biggest rejection cost the company £900,000!!!

My Typical Day:
I start work around 8:00 and spend most of my time reviewing paperwork or in discussions about what is acceptable and what isn’t. I finish up around 5:30 and on good days get to drive home knowing that I have improved some peoples lives.
